About Marty
From the bustling corridors of the corporate world to the quiet, imaginative spaces of writing, Marty Clifton has found her true calling. After years in a fast-paced career, she now revels in the freedom and creativity that comes with being a children’s book author, as well as a freelance proofreader, copyeditor, and content writer.
Books have always been Marty’s sanctuary and source of inspiration. Her love for reading began at age ten and has only grown stronger over the years. Some of her fondest memories are of reading Beatrix Potter and Dr. Seuss books to her son, instilling a love for stories and the magic they hold.
Marty has harbored a dream for many years—to write children's books that spark the imagination and curiosity of young minds. That dream became a reality with the launch of her first children’s book, Penelope and Her Guardian Turtle in November of 2023. This enchanting tale is a testament to her belief in the power of dreams and storytelling.
Beyond her professional life, Marty enjoys cozy afternoons with a good book, exploring nature, and indulging in her love for creativity. She believes that stories have the power to change lives and is excited to share her journey and passion with her readers.
